My two favorite seasons are Spring and Fall, hands down! I love the cool, crisp weather. Especially when accompanied by sunshine. I love that we have the changing of the seasons in Kentucky. I only wish Spring and Fall were not the shortest seasons!
For today: Just a few of the things I love about Fall:
Cool, crisp, sunny weather
Bonfires and wood-burning fireplaces
S'mores
Hayrides
Jack-O-Lanterns
Trick-or-Treat
Pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin muffins . . . pumpkin ANYTHING
Toasted pumpkin seeds
Cinnamon and spice
Apples and apple cider
Trees painted with red, orange, and golden leaves
St. James Court Art Show
Thanksgiving
Turning back the clocks (and gaining an extra hour of sleep!)
Wishing you a wonderful Fall filled with your favorite things!
ditto mel on them all...my favs are every single color of mum and pansy...and burning apple cider and pumpkin spice candles (from walmart...cheap) that make the whole house smell divine!!!...and cooking some of those meals that just don't work as well in the summer or taste as good in hot weather like chili, grilled cheese and tomato soup, roasts, stews...and good old cornbread to mention a few...

Jen - Yes! Love the chili, grilled cheese, an such. And butternut squash soup - YUM! I don't know how to make it, but love it. Bella Notte had the best I've ever tasted one day. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately!) it isn't on their everyday menu.
